Sellar's History...
Sellar's History of Huntingdon County and the Seigniories of Chateauguay and Beauharnois was printed in 1888 by the Canadian Gleaner, and reprinted by the Chateauguay Valley Historical Society in 1995.

Sellar's Notes
During the early 1880s Robert Sellar, in preparation for writing his History of the region, interviewed survivors among the early settlers and their sons & daughters. He wisely preserved these Notes. As he explains:
"The following four volumes are part of the material I collected in preparation for my history of the counties of Huntingdon, Chateauguay, and Beauharnois (1888). As I did not use all they contain, owing to the scope of the work, which did not embrace personal and family matters, I thought it well not to destroy these notes, but to have them bound for preservation."
Sellar's original four volume Notes of Conversations With First Settlers of the District of Beauharnois is held at the National Archives of Canada. The Chateauguay Valley Historical Society each have complete copies and has digital copies.
Sellar's own Index to these notes is available here for your perusal. These Notes contain a treasure trove of personal information omitted from the History.
